No way... I don't feel the need to be stylish. I'm someone who likes to wear
what's comfortable and just something that I like. It's easy to spot the trends
because so many people are wearing them. While I like to see what the new styles
are, I definitely wouldn't spend my money on them. I'd rather get another manga
or something. Styles change too often that I feel it a waste to always try to be
in the trend. Besides, why would I want to look like everyone else and blend in
the crowd? Comfort is the best style. Clean and casual comfort.
I don't have a belly button piercing, but my sister does, and I went with her
and watched when she got it done. The needle they used was pretty long so I
thought it would hurt, but my sister said that it didn't hurt. Then again, she's
someone who can take pain. So I
guess it's all on the individual person. The healing didn't take too long
either. She was given a solution that helped with the healing process and helped
protect against infection. It is fun helping her pick out new belly button rings
too. I hope all goes well with your piercing!
I have to agree with Persocom01. The best thing is to let him know in the nicest
way possible that you're not interested. Don't make it sound like there's hope
(if there isn't), but don't use words that are too hurtful. Rejections are bad
enough without them being too straight forward and blunt. This happened to me
once even though I never told the guy, or hinted, that I had any intention of
going out with him. Sadly though, we no longer talk.
Welcome to MT KenshinTaiki. If you need help with anything, or have any

Hey there SrEyLaKh, and welcome to MT. I'm sure you won't have trouble finding
friends. Most of the members here are pretty nice. I'd love to be friends if
you're looking for another. I
hope to see you around. Enjoy!
Hey there cyberfrogX. I'm glad you decided to make an introduction thread. My
welcome is a bit late, but I thought I'd be forgiven due to the lack of
welcomers. Where have they all gone? I hope that you continue to enjoy your time
on MT and that I see you around.
Welcome to MT Spela. Nice introduction. Day dreaming is really fun at times.
I hope that you enjoy your time on MT and that I see you around. Have fun!
Glad you decided to introduce yourself.
Would you happen to be a Gilmore Girls fan, or is your username a happy
coincidence? I'm sure you'll find a ton of friends in no time. I
hope to see you around. Enjoy!
Welcome to MT Sand-San. I hope that you have a ton of fun on MT. If you have any

Welcome to MT Srikandi! What a pretty username! Or would you prefer to be called
Honey? Hehe... I
hope that you enjoy your time on MT. Yeah, some of us MTers can be real nuts
when it comes to anime or manga. See you
around. Enjoy!
I tend to be attracted to guys with dark hair. Either black or dark brown. I'm
not a fan of the lighter shades, unless of course, it's their natural color. I
like my guys to stay their natural color, as I do. So whatever color he was born
with is what I like. My hair is dark brown indoors, but looks golden brown
outside.
After a bout of crying, I usually end up taking a long nap. Luckily, I don't
always get red eyes, but huge bags. I think that's the give-a-way. But I usually
get away with no one knowing. (I prefer it that way too.) What I do is drink
something until my tummy is warm, and take a long nap. I wake up, if not feeling
better, at least a little bit relaxed.
I often don't let people know what's going on with me, so something completely
not related to what I'm dealing with can set me off as well. One time a friend
just make a small sarcastic comment, and I ended up trying to hold back tears.
I've watched about 7 episodes of Blood+ so far. The first episode was really
great. The idea behind it is really original. How many episodes are there total?
I have about 27 but haven't watched all of them yet. (My attentions have been
elsewhere. )

I know what you mean. But as the title says, "Protest Yu Watase," for
something like that is exaggerating or blowing things out of proportion in my
view.
Most of us people do not like or want the younger generation to be influenced by
sex, and I suppose this person wanted to start with Watase. Cherry12 was
probably very disturbed that sex scenes kept popping up, and wanted to point
something out to others.
Maybe the word "protest" would be a bit much... Using that word does
make it sound as if the person is going to go against her completely. Something
like "Yu Watase ideas of Romance" would be a more appropriate title
for the thread. Or even "Youth and Adult Romance". Ah well, I guess
it's all in the individuals opinion. Maybe the words are being taken too
literally or are just being used in the wrong context.

a winner! that's what i'm talking about! young adolescents are influenced by
yu-chan's manga! my friend at school has all of them. 1st time when i saw the
artwork, i was convinced 2 read it and it didn't turn out how i thought it
would. i always hear people say on other forums that the romance in her manga is
amazing! ... not quite what i had in mind though...
Kids reading and absorbing this kind of material can give them a warped view of
romance. Where are their parents? Parents need to check the age ratings and
really apply it to what they let their kids read. Hopefully they start to catch
on and see that just because something is hand drawn and beautiful doesn't mean
it's not going to have serious content.

If you can't stand all those scenes, just avoid them. Yu Watase isn't the only
person who has drawn stuff like that. Other mangakas have drawn more than Watase
in particularly the sex category. I don't think you should pin the blame on
Watase just because you're making a big deal about sex. The sex scenes in
Watase's work to me is not really major.
People are not entirely influenced by anime and manga. People who make the
choice to have sex don't say, "Oh, we should do this because I saw Yu
Watase draw it!" or "I saw a girl getting raped, so I'll rape someone
too! Thanks Yu Watase!"
You know it is absurd that someone would say those things, so why say Watase is
at fault for people having kids and STD's?
It's alright to be concerned about people having sex & getting STD's, but
surely it is not Watase's fault. I do know what you are talking about, but there
are many other factors that cause people to have intercourse, like certain music
videos on tv where a ton of girls are in revealing clothing, and songs in the
radio saying "Booty booty booty, rock it everywhere!" lol. It's
causing many people to think it's alright to have sex because the media seems to
be promoting this kind of stuff. Well, just the people who are really thinking
about the media and wants to do what is shown on tv.
Don't get me wrong, I'm just as concerned as you are, but I take other things
into consideration too.
Of course I know that there are a ton of other mangakas who have sex and such in
their manga. I have nothing against this type of work, but personally, I just
wouldn't want to have it for my own collection. I don't blame Yu Watase for
having sex scenes/suggested rape in her works at all. They're just not something
that I enjoy. I did state that I am a fan of the Fushigi Yugi anime, and there
was the suggested rape of Yui.
I don't think that cherry12 was trying to pinpoint Yu Watase was being the
culprit for STDs and such. I think what she is trying to say is that younger
audiences do get their hands on works such as these and may be influenced by it,
even if it is in the smallest measure. While there are ratings on the manga,
some parents don't know what their children are getting their hands on. Maybe
cherry and I are just people who are less into the sexual side of things. Yes,
it can help a story along, and yes, it may be entertaining for some. I'm just a
person who doesn't feel that it is necessary. If others like it, I have nothing
against them having and enjoying it. I guess I'm just a more picky person.
Hmm... I never knew this! I am a big fan of the Fushigi Yugi anime. Partly
because it is 'G rated'. I haven't read the manga. I didn't know that the manga
was so sexual. Wow, I had no idea that the character in Ayashi no Ceres was
being raped. I had thought of checking out that manga, but now that you've
informed me, I've decided against it. However, in her new manga 'Absolute
Boyfriend', I haven't seen anything that is sexual or over romanticized. At
least not yet...
I love doing crafts! I like scrapbooking, beading, drawing, and cross-stitching. Getting materials is so expensive though!
No way... I don't feel the need to be stylish. I'm someone who likes to wear what's comfortable and just something that I like. It's easy to spot the trends because so many people are wearing them.
